The smell of burning toast came from the kitchen. Cupid š quickly rushed in and turned off the snack maker, placed two of the three toasted sandwich on a plate then went to enjoy the lunch snack.

It was early evening when he woke from his late lunch snooze. The plate of leftover breadcrumbs was on the center table that he had pulled closer to the couch. The TV šŗ was still on the same channel showing another movie. Cupid š cleared up the scene to the kitchen to wash the dishes then continued to his assignments.
Later that evening the munchies came to him. Remembering the last toasted sandwich, still in the snack maker, he took a break from his studies. The light in the kitchen had a fault and wouldn’t come on. He could still make his way around with the little light that shone through the windows. He opened the snack maker then put the sandwich on a plate, placing the plate in the microwave to heat up the snack.
Two minutes later the light in the kitchen had come on. He came to grab the snack from the microwave and quickly took a big bite. After taking a bite and chewing for a few seconds he felt somethings crawling all over his hands. He took up his hand ā and noticed small ants š walking all over it. He began to beat his hand on his clothes š The sensation of crawling ants moved to his face. He became aware that he had probably eaten a few of the little critters. Taking a closer look at his snack he noticed it was covered in ants. Astounded at the sight he wondered how they had survived two minutes in the microwave. The snack maker seemed normal but a closer study revealed an army of ants š camouflaged by the black surface. Cupid š sighed. Frustrated at the sight he threw away the toasted sandwich in the trash then cleaned up the snack maker. He had now lost his appetite.
Cleaning himself up he took a shower to rid the sensation of creepy crawlies all over him then brushed his teeth thoroughly. He dropped himself on the couch š flipping through channels and thinking š about the nature of ants š and how they could have survived two minutes in the microwave.
