Junior High Class Dance

Junior High School was a kick off into the world of relationships. If I could do it all again I would do so many things differently. I would spend more time making productive contacts, having fun at the class dances and socials, visiting old primary school contacts instead of girlfriends and trying to get with the next good chick; most of whom are now married with kids. I vividly recall one junior high class dance where I was with my date for five minutes after we arrived at the dance then waved at her when we were leaving. The rest of the time I was standing around trying to steal pictures with some of the ladies, then sitting outside checking out the starry skies.

I was the notoriously immature novice in the realm of love

In Junior High most of us are teenagers at this stage in life. Our bodies start to mature with enhanced sensations and emotions we don’t understand. The ‘Alpha male’ syndrome becomes activated in the guys and we all end up trying to get the better of the other in most cases.

Oh it wasn’t all roses I tell ya, for everyone in those years actually. Puberty is always a new and daunting experience. An adventure into an underworld of the opposite sex. The curiosity of ‘what will she say? What will she do?….’ There were plans on whole dialogues at times, a laboratory of archived documents with pickup lines and… ‘ohp…. he tried that once and she didn’t call back….’ The best moves were always unplanned but those were usually an aftermath of planned dialogues.
